The finish line is right around the corner. We are patiently awaiting our trim package - unless you ask Greg Schack @ Western Millworks, he will tell you, I'm not very patient! The interior doors & jams are all stained with ebony, they will be sleek & high gloss with lacquer in the days to come. The final grade is getting closer, we have some edging & gravel to add before we can spray the grass seed into place. The fenceposts lay in the field, becoming more hidden with every rain shower & visit from the sun.
All of these things, when written seem like such a long list, but as we pluck away - one thing at a time, one day at a time. The mountain of "to-do's" becomes just a few things and then one day, someday soon - we will be to the exciting embellishments, flowers - herbs - a cute sign here - soft towels there - shaggy cows everywhere!
I asked Cory if he would build the bathroom vanity for me. I found a few I liked locally, but they weren't exactly what I wanted in the space. He did such a great job on this oak vanity - the sink is from a remodel we did years ago. I think they are fun paired together - the sink feels modern and the hewn brings a feeling of comfort. I've officially named my taste for this space "Classy Hippie" -- I'm not sure that's a thing, but it is now!
